ABSTRACT
First and foremost, I recall several classical notions and results from the moduli theory of complex K3 surfaces. In particular, I introduce the K3 period domain as well as the so-called Burns-Rapoport period domain. Then I move on to the study of complex curves in the K3 period domain, beginning with the definition of twistor lines and twistor spaces. Based on joint work with Ana-Maria Brecan, Martin Schwald, and Daniel Greb I present a new perspective and characterization of the mentioned twistor lines.
